"Big Bear is well known as a year round resort town surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest. We have miles of back country roads that stretch from above the ski resorts down to the Joshua trees and cactus of the desert. Each season is unique and brings with it new wonders but there is one constant. That one constant is Off Highway Vehicles. Most visitors respect our vast resources and obey the law. A few don't. That's where I come in. I carry a badge. (Just kidding!) Seriously though the ability to ride trails above the ski resorts and then be surrounded by desert and cactus just minutes later makes this a truly unique Outpost. .."
